Practice Policies

We are closed weekends and major holidays
Additional closure dates can be found here and are subject to change
We do not see emergencies
We refer for imaging (radiographs, ultrasound, CT/MRI, etc.) and surgical procedures including anesthetic dental procedures

We monitor our phone and email in between appointments Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm
If you contact us during business hours, we do our best to return communication within 24 hours
Messages received on Friday may not be returned until the next business day
Questions received about a pet's health between visits may be subject to a consulting fee or advisement to schedule a phone/virtual session

We see appointments on weekdays from 9am to 5pm
Due to travel routes and day-to-day variability, an appointment made via the online scheduler is a request until finalized
Same day appointments are not available for new clients
We give a 30 minute estimate arrival window for appointments
Active clients are those who have been seen within the last calendar year

Payment is due at the time of service
We provide an estimate before service is rendered
Prices are subject to change
We accept debit, Zelle, ACH transfers, cash, credit (Visa or Mastercard) and CareCredit
We do not accept physical checks, PayPal, Venmo, ApplePay, Discover, or American Express

We ask for a minimum of 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule as we base our route on already scheduled appointments
Late cancellations are subject to a $95 cancellation fee
Excessive cancellations by existing clients will result in deposits being required prior to scheduling
If you are not home at the time of your appointment, you are responsible for the full amount of the consultation and house call fees

We have many prescription medications and supplements available for your pet at the time of your appointment
Other medications and supplements are conveniently shipped from our trusted and competitively priced online pharmacy partners Vetsource and Fullscript
We can electronically approve but cannot call in or fax prescriptions to third-party pharmacies
Due to state law, dispensed medications cannot be returned for a refund

In Arizona, all dogs three months of age or older are required to be vaccinated against Rabies
We require history of Rabies vaccination for examination or will need to administer a Rabies vaccine at your appointment unless your pet is deemed too ill to receive the vaccine (note: we offer mercury-free Rabies vaccines)
Titers are not sufficient and will not be accepted in lieu of Rabies vaccination
If your pet has a history of severe vaccine reaction, for the safety of your pet we are unable to administer vaccines
If your pet has an unexpected reaction after we vaccinate, due to the mobile nature of our practice we may not be able to return to treat your pet

We reserve the right to refuse service if our safety is at risk
We only provide service to homes free of cigarette and marijuana smoke and this includes homes where smoking has occurred recently or regularly in the past
We will not perform service at homes where individuals are visibly impaired by alcohol and/or drugs
We cannot see pets that require injectable sedation for examination or treatment
If a pet is too fearful or aggressive to handle for its or our staff's safety, our consultation and house call fees still apply

The relationship between a veterinarian, client, and patient is special and thrives on mutual respect and teamwork
We do not tolerate bullying, lying, intimidation, or harassment in any form
If you violate this policy, you will provided a copy of your medical records and dismissed as a client
